20. 11. 2025.VIII Regional Business Forum Officially Opened

Novi Sad, 20 November - With opening speeches of the President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly Juhász Bálint, President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković and president of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina Vladimir Gak, the Regional Business Forum officially opened today.

This important economic event, organized for the eighth time by the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Assembly of European Regions (AER), in cooperation with Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, brought together more than 130 participants from numerous countries in Europe, Asia, and the region.

In his address to the attendees, President Juhász emphasized that this event has become a key meeting place for entrepreneurs, institutions, and international partners, as well as a space where ideas are transformed into concrete projects and new business connections.

“With the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and numerous partners, the Forum has grown into the fastest-growing regional network for business cooperation and has significantly accelerated the visibility of Vojvodina’s economy on the international stage,” Juhász said, stressing that Vojvodina is now prepared for investment and technological development.

“Since 2018, more than four billion euros of foreign investments have been made in APV, while unemployment has decreased,” Juhász added, noting that every agreement reached at the Forum represents a new opportunity for development, jobs, and a stronger Vojvodina.

President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković stated that this Forum is an opportunity to discuss key topics shaping the economic future of the region and representing the strength of Vojvodina – in economy, tourism, the automotive industry, and agriculture.

In the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, cooperation agreements were signed today, forming an important foundation for future investments, the opening of new plants, and employment, between the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and the Development Agency of Serbia, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, Green Navigator, and the Union of Chambers of Commerce of North Macedonia.

“These agreements are not just a formality, but represent concrete steps toward regional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint projects that open doors to new investments and economic initiatives,” Gojković said.

President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina Vladimir Gak emphasised that, given the interest and number of participants, this Forum has exceeded regional boundaries and established itself as a strategic platform for business cooperation. He emphasised the importance of the partnership with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, which has opened the door to even more productive connections with Turkish companies and investors.

The Regional Business Forum was initiated by the Assembly of AP Vojvodina and AER, in active cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, and has grown into one of the most significant business events in the region.

On the first day, participants can expect panel discussions on key sectors, ranging from the Danube as a tourist brand, through smart mobility and the automotive industry, to the agricultural-food chain, as well as organised B2B meetings, which traditionally result in new business arrangements.

On the second day, local self-governments from Vojvodina – Bačka Topola, Irig, and Zrenjanin – as well as the municipality of Drvar, will present their projects and investment potentials.
