Novi Sad, 16 April - President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, Juhász Bálint and the President of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojković held regular consultations today and talked about the continued support to projects in cities and municipalities throughout Vojvodina.
President Juhász and President Gojković assessed that investments implemented with the support of the Province, are making good progress, with particular emphasis on the reconstruction of the memorial fountain in Palić and facility Bagoljvar, the pulmonology department of the General Hospital in Senta and the student dormitory of the “Bolyai” Grammar School for Talented Students in Senta.
Following a recent visit to infrastructure projects in Subotica and Stara Moravica, President Juhász expressed satisfaction, stating that the launching of works on the reconstruction of the memorial fountain in Palić marks the continuation of a steady rollout of major investments, which are partly or fully financed by the provincial budget.
Juhász and Gojković both agreed that investments in cultural heritage protection and tourism development are among the key priorities, given the significant tourist potential of Vojvodina, which has been increasing its share in the overall economic activity year after year.
President Gojković highlighted that in recent years Vojvodina has been increasingly positioning itself on the tourist map of Europe, which directly contributes to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the creation of new jobs and the overall economic growth of tourist destinations and the province as a whole.
The meeting also addressed current issues in the work of the provincial administration, the upcoming session of the AP Vojvodina Assembly as well as the organisation of a joint conference in cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
